I hated myself for being so weak. I couldn’t do a thing when the person I admired most was brutally murdered. It’s been ten years. There was a good guy who put the life back into me when I was half rotten. Right now, he’s involved in a huge battle and he might die. @imissthembutitwasntadisaster I was going to keep quiet about this because I'm still gathering my thoughts but apparently I can't sit still so I must say something before I burst: Killjoys is GOOD and I can see why you love it so much!!

#five episodes in i'm in love #i'm especially attached to dutch and johnny #d'avin is growing on me slowly but he reminds me of ward (all strong looking men remind me of ward)#(and ward terrifies me)#the fast forward button has been my best friend though there is a LOT of making out #but anyway the writing for episode 5 (the one with hogan and the healing/destroying nanoparticles) was GOOD #you know i didn't think i'd start watching it because action packed is not always my cup of tea #i mean i could handle it with aos because the characters were so good and so were their story arcs #killjoys is FUN though and i like that each episode contains very interesting worldbuilding #the company's effect on the economy and the way people live is devastating and very well explored #and the set design!#it's hard to come up with scifi that looks original these days #because star trek/star wars/doctor who/large outer space sci fi franchises have a lot of originality and design #but i love the way they've approached killjoys aesthetically #it's very rogue one: there is a lot of wear and tear and the places look real(?) if you know what i mean #anyhow i'd give an arm and a leg for dutch and johnny apparently #i started watching this for fun because i had a bit of time after class and now i am invested (oh boy)#kj liveblog: found family but in space (character development my beloved)

so we’re doing the blackfire arc, the death in the family/red hood arc, intro to tim drake, whatever’s going on with scarecrow, the return of donna troy, and “be a better batman” which i’m not quite sure what they’re getting at with that one but i’m also kinda scared to find out. And this is all gonna fit in one season.

#yikes #before i was like oh you wanna add more batfam stuff? sure i guess #but now seeing it?#too much. there's too much going on #jay was never a titan but i was fine with him being there bc his being the new robin ties directly into dick's story #and also i love him #but do we need to have tim too? i mean sure i like tim as much as the next person #and i'd like to see him in live action but is this really the place to do it?#also like i can see them all going to gotham for jay's funeral or whatever but..? to spend a whole season there?#red hood is a batman story not a titans story #the whole heart of the plot is that it's jay who used to be bruce's boy and is now fighting against him #sure the titans are all his friends(?) but it will not have the same kick #honestly i think they did it best in the first season where ya technically bruce was there a little in flashbacks and what not #but i don't think we ever actually saw his face #becasue it's not about him!#ugh this is just disjointed ranting now sorry lol #titans #but i am still looking forward to the new season #for kory if nothing else
